I'm a fan of his ongoing quest to hang up on people a half second before the end of a sentence. I think I mostly enjoy it because of the delight that Tom and anyone else in the studio gets from it.

Anytime JW mentions a Hondo guitar. As a kid my friends and I would always stop in to goof on the crummy guitars in our crappy neighborhood music store.  It was the kind that mostly rented school band instruments so they had a guitar section just to say they did.  Hondo was well represented on those walls.

I don't care that it's been mentioned: COMEDIENNE.  Every time PFT is on, I shake with anticipation for Tom to drop it, and nearly pass out laughing when the time finally arrives.  "I thought you said..."

I love (what seems to be) an out of the blue arbitrary heave-ho--

"I don't know Fosse!!!" 

"Stan Getz?? Heave ho, you RACIST."

I also like all the other whatever everyone else says they like.

One of my favorite arbitrary heave-hos was when some guy called to talk about Harmony Korine and Tom was trying to tell the guy that Korine was going to make Speed Racer 2. The guy, trying to anticipate where this was going, asked if Andy Milonakis was going to be it. Tom replies, angrily, "It's Emile Hirsche's role to lose! Heave-ho!"

I love how Tom refers to someone's female significant other as "lady friend". Not really a joke, but it tickles me every time.
