The Invisible Dude
« on: September 28, 2010, 11:13:29 PM »
I noticed Zack G's facebook profile picture is him reading a script called "The Invisible Dude", and although the it's a little hard to read, it looks like it says it's written by Tom. Does anyone know anything about this?

Here's the picture:

Yeah, that was a lil joke Tom sent to Zach. Coz Tom & Zach get these scripts sent to them all the time asking these cats to read 'em & give notes. I guess these senders don't realize that it takes a good 6-8hrs to properly read/ give notes. (This is one of the reasons Tom's so burnt out-so many people askin for favors that are pretty elaborate)
So when you send yr script to these guys, you are basically asking them a huge huge favor---& they're busy, may not have time etc.
ANYWAY, Tom sent a giant--double the size of most movie scripts-- blank script  about the size of a telephone book, with just a title page and one page of (really BADLY WRITTEN) movie script for his "movie" project  -The Invisible Dude.
I'm guessing  Zach was like "WhattheFunyons??!?! Jeezus lookit this feckin humongus thing i gotta read that Scharpling sent" when he got it!

INT. TURKEY’S NEST, W’BURG, BROOKLYN – 4:30 AM

It is after last call & Sleigh Bells blares loudly on the jukebox to a mostly empty bar. The skinny bartender (clad in an old Guns n Roses t-shirt with a boy scout uniform blouse on top, black jeans so tight his scrawny legs look like insect limbs & converse low tops) is transferring batches of dirty glasses from the tables to the bar top. He spots something shiny in one of the booths, and goes to pick it up. It is an amulet, gold in color, with a turquoise scarab pendant. As soon as he touches the pendant, he sways dizzily.

            BARTENDER

Woah, dude! I feel worse than that time I got that effed up batch of
ketamine from my girlfriend’s roommate! Hey, I can see through my hand!
Remember how he couldn't stop his leg?

I think that's actually from one of the Colonel Sanders Mysteries episodes. The Invisible Dude is all set in France, and then ancient Mesopotamia. TONS of CGI with externals from Bakersfield mixed in.
