My documentary is screening at CMJ!
« on: October 11, 2010, 11:57:35 AM »
Shameless plug, I know, but hear me out...

I just wanted to let my fellow FOTs know that my first feature film, "Firewall of Sound," is screening at CMJ next Friday, 10/22 at 2 PM at the Norwood Club in New York City. It's a documentary focusing on the relationship between the indie music industry and the internet. It features interviews with Superchunk leader Mac McCaughan, Neutral Milk Hotel singing saw and banjoist Julian Koster, two of the guys who write for The A.V. Club (Nathan Rabin & Josh Modell), and Chapel Hill musician Perry Wright, who was part of the backing band on The Mountain Goats' last tour. (See? That's TWO connections to Jon Wurster! This post is TOPICAL!)

In case that wasn't enough to pique your interest, here's a trailer: Firewall of Sound - New Trailer!

Don't apologize for the plug! That looks great and I am sure a bunch of FOTs would be interested in it even without the Wurster connects. Good luck with the screening.

Quick thing. If you do decide to go to my screening (and you would be my best friend forever if you did), you need to RSVP at www.cmj2010.com/norwood
