Papa Roach.

"Jim Beam, dude!"

That was a sad, yet inspiring, story.

If Tom can bounce back from such depths, surely we can all get past whatever's vexing us at the moment.

Before the show, Tom did a longer Super Dave impression that was absolutely hysterical. I think I'm going to have to start wearing a wire to the show because Tom is just as funny before the show even starts.

I am digging through old stuff..... There is a lesson to be learned.

See above quote.  Who has a show for two weeks two years later?

Macho Man keeps popping in my head since he first started doing it. But I will always love his jazz impression (or any time he does a trumpet.) Always makes me laugh.
He's this soulless bastard from Siberia. I once saw him shove Fred Savage's face in a toilet.

A year or two ago, Tom did an impersonation of two old men at a pizza parlor. "You can get anything!"
It made me giggle uncontrollably then, and it still makes me laugh.

The Mike Francesa bit from a number of months ago. I have never heard Mike or the Mad Dog in reality, so I have no idea how accurate it was. It was just after Francesa had apparently left the show for greener pastures, and Tom's ridiculous phrasings -- 'You guys meant ta me everyting...' -- interspersed with wet sobs... pure gold.

Just to address the question in the title of this thread, which has been nagging at me for months:

I'm pretty sure it's "impression." Isn't "impersonation" when you are actually trying to convince others that you are the person in question? Whereas an impression is an imitation for the purpose of entertainment or amusement?

I agree, but it made me think of Ronald Reagan.

I think you're right. They don't call them 'Female Impressionists'.

Tom's Sam Elliott in his Road House redux is superb. His Ben Gazzara is great too.
