Stereolaffs Purchases
« on: November 08, 2010, 02:32:10 AM »
I have been listening to The Best Show for a few years now, but have never heard "Rot, Rock and Roll."  I just bought the CD from the Sterolaffs website and plan to listen to it during a road trip over the week of Thanksgiving.  My question is to anyone who has purchased something from the site, how soon can I expect my cd?

Soon.  At least, everything I've ordered has arrived very quickly.

I believe Tom does all of the work himself. He'll get to it when he is able. Tom sent a few extra stickers when I ordered stuff way back when...that small gesture sealed my allegiance to TBS.

As far as the Stereolaffs website/order processing goes, Jon and Tom share that load, so the shipping times are often affected by their work/travel schedules (Jon's touring, Tom's attendance at various fudge-making seminars, etc.) I know that circa the release of The Art of the Slap, Jon was handling a lot of those orders.

Based on my experience with shipping times, you should have a Clontle-filled journey to and fro your Thanksgiving destination.

one of my (extra) stickers had a message written on the back - "send to Patton".  I can't bring myself to stick it on anything

This raises another question: Just how much artwork do the physical albums have?  Front cover, back cover, inserts?

I've bought them all on iTunes and all I can seem to access is the front cover art.
If I tried, I could probably make at least six figures for shaking my moneymaker.

That was quick.  I already got an email from Wurster telling me he is sending it today!

Corrections and apologies...
I believe Tom and or Jon manage all of the orders themselves. They'll get to it when they are able(which is right away according to lpme). Tom and or Jon sent a few extra stickers when I ordered stuff way back when...that small gesture sealed my allegiance to TBS.

With the lure of stickers and other TBS swag in the air, I just ordered a "Newbridge is for Lovers" t-shirt.

In my cotton candy fantasy world, though, they'd also have a Sister Shelia hoodie and a Gas Station Dogs tee for order.

I ordered some cds and a shirt in late October and still haven't got them, but I'm assuming because it's international shipping. I hope there isn't a problem.

Did you get an email from Jon?   I placed the order Sunday, got an email on Monday saying he would send it that day, it showed up Friday.  Which is a normal shipping time from Chapel Hill to Denver.  You might want to send them an email.

This makes me wish I'd ordered the CDs this way. In a fit of pique, I bought them all on iTunes because I simply could not wait to hear them.

I bought a used copy of Rock, Rot & Rule off of Amazon, but now I'm feeling guilty about it so I'm going to order a Newbridge shirt and maybe another CD from Stereolaffs when i get the dough.

I ordered the last three (had RRR already) a couple of months ago and they came right quick. Except for RRR they're all double CDs, edited for extra comedy quality, and totally worth the money. Every FOT should have them. And yes, I ordered them after I had listened to almost the entire archive and needed a fix. I know we're all spoiled with the Gems now but the CD are like the Super Gems.
