The Newest FOT: Duke

I blew up everyone's Twitter feed about it but, in case you missed it, my wife gave birth to our first child early Thanksgiving morning and we couldn't be more pleased. His name is Duke:



8 lb 15oz, 22 inches long and healthy. I am already counting those sweet, sweet NBA dollars.

My wife was incredible throughout the delivery. She had a natural childbirth with no drugs just like she wanted. She is a champ.







I could not be happier. Thanks to all the kind notes on Twitter, too. FOTs are the best.

He looks a bit like a primitive carving of a beneficent but stern sleeping god.  Congratulations.  But shouldn't he get to decide for himself whether he's a FOT?

Big congrats, again!  You will love it.  And Sarah, you can be a FOT by birth, the way Beck is a Scientologist by birth.  I could swear my five-month-old said "Batter Butler" the other day.

yesno, no archives yet but we did nap to The Cherry Blossom Clinic yesterday.

And Sarah, you will be glad to know I waited a full three (3) hours after his birth to give him his FOT neck tattoo and I have him working ONLY two (2) hours a night on his script for his first call-in to the show.

Also, he IS a beneficent but stern sleeping god.
