Dear Greater SF area FOT.
I need to be at a conference at Berkeley on this coming Tuesday (overlapping with part of the Best Show! Argh!). Not sure what is wrong with me, but I do not feel like staying with family friends or relatives. Seems too stressful. So I need a place to stay that night. Would anyone feel comfortable putting me up? I would probably be leaving before sunrise, so you would only have to deal with me for ~six hours.
Anyway, I am a polite, low maintenance guest. Sleeping on floors is one my specialties. I am also a good dude...no criminal record, a husband, a dad, occasionally funny, and totally amenable to any plans - be they eating, funneling, watching tube, giving you your space, discussing Wittgenstein, etc.
If I get out of the conference early enough, we could even listen to some of the Best Show.
