It went by so fast.
I missed the point.

Regarding the Daisy Mae BBQ commercial:

That final lady is as if an R. Crumb woman came to life. She is the definition of zaftig.

That accent is still what gets me.  The way she manages to pronounce every single word in a faux-Southern accent and yet not actually get a single word right.   It's breathtaking.  The pronunciation of New York is particularly amazing.

I wouldn't have known she was going for a Southern Accent if you hadn't remarked on it. I mean, I understand why you'd associate Bar-B-Q w/ the South and maybe want to do a fake accent to lend your product an air of auhhhhthennnnticity, but that accent bears no resemblance to anything.

so....he was playing those horns at the end with his feet? He's come a long way from the 'DEE DEE DEE DEE DOO DOO' synth pads of the 80s.

This Is How Michael Caine Speaks - The Trip - BBC Two

Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon's Michael Caine impersonations from The Trip. Marc Maron played an audio clip on WTF last week, but the video adds nicely.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.
