I couldn't find a thread devoted to show people are seeing/just saw. DFK shared his Reigning Sound story and gave me a heads up to look out for them. What kind of Spring/Summer line-up are you guys looking at? Here is my list of shows I'm gunna be at:

When I discussed my awful Neil Young concert experience, I was not being metaphorical. It really was horrible!

He's my all-time favorite and I haven't seen him. So it's better this than nothing imo. But I watched videos on youtube and I liked it. Maybe he'll change it up a little this time. Does he do any acoustic?

I missed seeing Walter Lure playing with Charlie Pickett because I don't check my Gmail account very often.

Very little. Not nearly enough. That concert was 20 minutes of joy, 55 minutes of tedium. At a buck a minute, that's a bad mix.

My spring/early summer is looking like:

Pixies
Guitar Wolf/Cheap Time
Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings
Anvil
and probably the Sled Island music festival in June.

All in all, not too shabby.

-Belle and Sebastian... it was on the night of girls festival and I had to do family stuff

Yeh I missed The New Pornographers, Neko Case and Yo La Tengo of the last two years. I also had tickets to A silver Mt Zion, just didn't go. I'm dumb. Gunna be a while before I get the chance again.

Has anyone seen Earth? Should I see Earth? No?

I saw Earth when they toured on their last album. It was enjoyable but it got old fast. I didn't stay for the whole show. It's the only rock show I've ever seen where the drummer didn't sweat.
