English Premier League Fontasy Football
« on: July 28, 2011, 04:22:12 AM »
I know there are some fantasy leagues on the go here for some other sports, and I think there may be some soccer fans around here as well.

So if anyone plays the Premier League fantasy football game (or wants to) and would like to join a league let me know below. If there are takers I'll create a private FOT league and post the league code below.

Hope there are some takers, but no rush it's still a few weeks til the season starts up again.

I assume Clint Dempsey is the consensus #1.  Here's hoping I get him.

Clint has been a solid pick in the last couple of years.

In this game, there is no draft, so if you want him, you can have him. Instead all the players have a price and the total squad price must be under £100 million.

I'm not super knowledgeable about English football, but I do play Football Manager way too much, so... um, I'm in?  (Early prediction: Rooney gets a weird disorder from his hair plugs, dies midway through the next season.  Also scores 15 goals post-life.)

The way the league currently stands I'd be disappointed if I didn't at least finish in the runner up spot.

As usual, I am trying to do this, and can't find where or when to enter the league code.

OK, I am out already. Don't understand the game well enough to even be able to read previous season stats. Carry on, cheery-o, all that stuff.

Wes will win again. Just like he did at the World Cup. And I will be annoyed.

I won't have any part of this. I proved my point by soundly beating all of you and leaving as champion, taking my talents elsewhere. Anyone who wins this sham of a tournament will be a paper champion, at best.
This may be the year I will disappear.

I'm registered.   I have to say though that  I find the limits on spending to be grossly un-American and an insult to our country's heritage of buying teams in England with overleveraged debt.

That made me laugh a lot.

Thanks to all for joining. Still a couple weeks to go.
