 :(

I've just started to get into British folk music (i.e. Roy Harper, Incredible String Band, John Martyn). I really need to check out Bert Jansch/Pentangle.

He was a big influence on "Mr. Page"

Bert Jansch "Black Waterside"

So sad. He was a quiet legend. I just saw him open for Neil Young.

Yes, they lifted Bert's arrangement and credited it to Led Zeppelin.

Page even taught the Yardbirds how to do that.

Sadly this no longer surprises me. I don't want to get OT but I found this quote as the first paragraph on Wikipedia when I looked up this title:

The album is best known for the song "Dazed and Confused" because rock band Led Zeppelin member Jimmy Page took the title, came up with a new set of lyrics, and changed enough of the melody to escape a plagiarism lawsuit.[1][2][3] "Dazed and Confused" was included in Led Zeppelin's 1969 debut album Led Zeppelin. The Led Zeppelin version was not credited to Jake Holmes. While Holmes took no action at the time, he did later contact Jimmy Page in regards to the matter but received no reply.[4] In June 2010, Holmes filed a lawsuit against the guitarist for copyright infringement in a United States District Court, claiming Page knowingly copied his work.[5]

I love Page but what didn't this guy steal?

Demons, man.  They won't protect you from lawsuits.  It just doesn't work that way.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!
