There is no Xmas like a FOT Xmas!  I encourage you to take the Secret Santa plunge, sign up and commit to participate.  It is a huge amount of fun! (Check out last year's thread if your inner-Scrooge-self needs convincing.) Thanks to the Master Elf for organizing this!

I have loved this in the past, but I still owe NJL from last year (I am not a horrible person, just wrestling with some issues.) So I guess I will stay out this year. I suck on so many levels.

I had a lot of fun putting out gift together last year, watching everyone post the stuff they were getting and getting out stuff. FoT Secret Santa is good times. Thanks, elfs.

I've had a great time every year I've participated. I got royally hooked up by my Santa from last year, so I'm really gonna try to step it up for whoever I get this year.

Is it cool to be involved if I'm in the UK? It will cost whomever more to ship from the US.

Also I'm super concerned that I don't know anyone very well and hence may buy them a gift that makes them ask "what the hell is this crap?"

Also: what's the recommended spend amount supposed to be? I have no craft skills so it would be bought not made...

No recommended spending amount. If shipping is that much of an issue, choose and e-gift, but we've had participants overseas before, and it hasn't really been a problem.

Also, quality counts more than what it cost to make. If you really want to send someone a tin of Tesco Toffee Pudding, so be it.
