This was a great interview, but... the news about Evil Genius... hoo boy.

So unfortunate.  Let's hope it's able to find a home.  Keep fightin' the good fight, Tom!

Aw, what a shame. Upward and onward, I guess. I hope PFT and Tom can continue to collaborate in the future.

Yeah, I was really looking forward to that. Comedy Central stinks.

It kind of sounded to me like PFT and Tom may have had a falling out, but of course I desperately hope that isn't so.

Man, I was thinking the same thing. They both stopped following each other on Twitter and Tom's recent riffing on Podcasts feels like you could include Paul in that discussion. It's sad. None of our business, obviously, what went down (if it did at all) but it really bums me out. For their sakes and for fans of comedy.
Creatively, they worked so well with each other. Many of my favorite Best Show moments are listening to the two of them talk.

This thread is depressing me.  EVIL GENIUS is such a great premise. PFT seems perfect for it too.

Yeah, kinda sad - but it's none of our business.  Hopefully they can come together once again in the future.

Sigh. Glad its come up on the real board (I saw murmurs on that other place).

It does look pretty glum, based on the twitter unfollows and the conspicuous not-mention of the Tompkast in the usual short list of good podcasts recently.

But I guess it isn't our business, really. Working with friends can be rough, especially when things don't come together, and sometimes a little distance is a good thing. For my part, I feel like the FOT mutual admiration society is too deep for things to be completely irreparable. But if it is? It's their relationship, not ours.

If this is true...It just makes me thankful S&W are still together and best buds. I don't think I could handle their breakup.

Unless Jon "lived his art" and whipped Tom to death with a belt or something.
If I tried, I could probably make at least six figures for shaking my moneymaker.

Wow you guys are really searching. You think that they had a falling out based on podcasts Tom listed and unfollowing someone on Twitter? Jeez. Tompkast hasn't released anything in a while, I honestly forgot about that podcast when Tom was listing them. Not that I cared. And unfollowing someone on Twitter means there is a falling out? I don't follow some of my closes friends because they tweet about what their eating every minute. That doesn't mean we're no longer friends. C'mon guys, you need to stop searching for drama.

Dudes. There is nothing in this interview to suggest any sort of rift between Tom and Paul.  For Tom to say the show wouldn't happen with him simply means that they passed on it and he's on to something new.  Of course they could have had a falling out, you never know, it happens. But there isn't the slightest hint of that in here.

Also, good interview!  So nice to not read how Tom and Jon met for the hundredth time.
