I never realized now frightening it was until I saw this article:
http://io9.com/5904307/behold-the-water-slide-so-dangerous-it-was-shut-down-immediately
I just listened to the May 15(?) 2007 episode last week when Action Park was brought up!

Go check out the Wikipedia page on Action Park. As someone pointed out here, it may be the funniest entry on Wikipedia, at least from a certain darkly humored point of view.

"So you have a slide that ends with an actual loop de loop?
"Yeah. Why?"
"Does it work?"
"Of course it works... water slide dummy."
