i was down in athens last spring and slammed on the brakes when we went past this place. HAD to stop and eat there.

Moving back to Atlanta in a few months.  When I went to Athens, back in the day, this wasn't there... so I guess I'm actually wondering... was the food edible?  Is the place to be avoided at all costs?

And am I really asking this about a place that offers a Possum Salad and a Little Buttwich Basket?

Also the What-What Sandwich... I first read that as "Wait... Whaaaaaaaaat?"

Omar, do you know of any Wursterisms that come *from Tom*?

In an interview this past summer Tom mentioned that it's he who is a big GG Allin "fan" (and thus the root of the references, I assume), whereas Jon is a KISS "fan." I found this to be very interesting.

Slightly off topic but I think GG came from Tom.

I interviewed him in December and asked him about the Geeg, and how it started, and he attributed it to people being gilded after they die. You could be the worst person in the world, but the moment you die you're a saint, and the late Kevin Allin is one of those people you can't really do that with.

the food was fine. not terrible and not amazing. the wait staff was suuuuper great though so i'd like to give it a recommendation based on that alone.

I had a lovely time in Athens. The beer is good, everyone was nice and the Abba records are free. and theres this:
