Greetings Everyone,
This is my first post to the FOT forum and my first post to
any online chat board so I hope I’m doing this right.
My online name is Broccoli Rob Funicello, but Broccoli Rob
to close friends and just Broc to friends closer still.
I listen to the Best Show via podcasts because I work nights,
so I’m usually a week behind, but my favorite things about the
show are Spike, Skeevy and Sharpling in that order.
The first question I wish to pose to the FOT members, is what
is the age of our favorite host? Wikipedia says he was born
February 9, 1969, but I’ve heard him in interviews suggest he’s
older, can anyone shine some light on this subject.
Before I sign off I would be remiss if I didn’t comment on the
disparaging insult from the 1/12/12 show that Tom made against
one of America’s greatest musical geniuses, Fats Waller, a giant of
jazz, blues and the Great American Songbook, a musician who set
the ground work for the popular music we love today.
Sorry I had to end my first post on a chiding tone but I simply couldn’t
let such an egregious opinion go unaddressed, especially from a man
who’s idea of musical genius is Ted Leo and Paul McCartney’s Wings.
Stop the insanity please.

Thanks everyone who replied to my first post,
especially JonFromMaplewood with the answer
to the age question, that sounds about right
since so many of Tom's cultural references
suggested he was older than the birth date
that Wikipedia gave.
Now how do you get those great avatars posted
on the side of your messages? Are they jpegs?
