Republican Dad
« on: April 21, 2012, 12:49:10 PM »
Before working with Tom on "Bottled In Cork," before even working with AP Mike on "The Therese & Mike Show Does Bayonne," I made a little film of my own called Republican Dad. It's a political campaign documentary somewhat in the style of one of my favorite filmmakers, Ross McElwee. I spent the last year fighting to get all the music cleared and now the film is finally available online at Snag Films. Please watch it! It's free, it's funny, it's touching, and I think you will probably enjoy it!

Great work!  It's fascinating that such noteworthy things occurred as you were filming.

Your dad seems like a more technocratic Republican than an ideologue, which would actually be progress of a sort in the Arizona GOP these days.  I thought the real villain of the piece was the woman on the hiking trail.

Very interesting.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I enjoyed the movie and your dad must be a really nice guy, aside from him thinking that 9/11 caused the sub-prime crisis.

Thank you for sharing this.
