Ha ha - they're so mad about it!

I think those AV Club people are pretty funny usually, and I even thought that the comments that Tom read were funny. But they sure seem like a pretty humorless bunch in that comment section.

They're still all fired up about it and are spitting out increasingly tortured defenses of why it's ok for them to be upset about it and why Tom is a big bully for picking on them, its hilarious.  "He's famous, he shouldn't get to pick on non-famous anonymous twerps!"
