Spring Breakers

I saw this movie with a group of people. Not by myself. I didn't pay any money for it but I feel like Tom wouldn't hate it. It was weird and disorienting and alienating, like if the sex scene from the Runaways biopic got extended to an hour and a half except the dialog is something out of the Party Zone and Marnie from Girls is singing Stronger by Kanye West in the background the whole time.

The Tampa Bay Times is raving about this movie.  They even love the soundtrack!

I'll see it at some point. I know I joke around but I'm generally pro-Korine, even if I don't like the end result. I don't think I'll see it in a theater though.

Sounds like fonpr has found his excuse to see Spring Breakers ;). If the Tampa Bay Times approves, who am I to disagree?

I think i was the only adult in a theater full of teenagers.

This is the first Korine film ive actually seen with an audience and the first couple of minutes felt like we were all watching porn but nobody on screen was naked.

Saw it with my wife.  45-ish year-old guy behind me, by himself.  Occasionally grunted.  That was awful.

Movie was pretty good, though.  Felt like it should have been a short film, though -- makes its point early, and begins to feel repetitive.

Trash Bleepers, oddly enough, tugged at my heartstrings during the very last scene. What the hell is wrong with me?  I'm like Mike laughing at Stroszek.
