It was the "Thanks Fredericks" part, I'm really an ungrateful little git.

I'm still grateful for my logo.

I will be ordering a few at my little record store in Nashville.  The only other thing I've heard about this RSD is a 10" box set of soundgarden's superunknown, circling the drain much RSD?

I don't have a turntable so I am deferring to Tom regarding approval of this test pressing. He's a stickler for appropriate low end on speech-only recordings but hopefully he'll sign off in time for Record Store Day.

I work for Mckay books, we are so small we're barely on the map.

Not worthy of its own thread so I'll ask here, but I was just wondering if any of the historians here knew if the released version of R-Squared was unedited and if not whether the full version has ever been circulated in some form.  It always sounded like there were cuts (especially around the Madness parts), but I wasn't sure if it was just the quality of the recording.

This general topic has come up several times - do a search for "unedited" on the message board and you'll see some posts about it.

To my knowledge, an unedited version of "Rock, Rot and Rule" has never been released.

I don't know either of the gentlemen personally, but I do know that JW cut the calls for the CDs. Some of the unavailable-episode calls exist online, but most ("The Gorch," an unreleased part of which is played in a later episode) don't.

Neither Mr. Scharpling nor Mr. Wurster, to my knowledge, has ever indicated that releasing the uncut CD calls are of particular interest to them. Often, the people doing the cutting consider the edited versions to be superior.

Rabid completists (including me) are probably the only ones who care. I'd love to hear the full Gorch and Jeff Cooper calls someday, but I'm not holding my breath.

I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

In terms of editing the calls for the CDs, I am aware of one case in which a call was edited for possible inclusion on one of the releases, but the edited version was ultimately not included because the cuts were too deep (it was going to be a struggle to get it to fit on the disc) to allow the call in question to fully bloom, especially since it would have been a major character's CD debut.

There are two unedited versions of CD tracks floating around out there that I know of: the Todd and the Audio Guru calls and Mike Healy's first call.

I have an unedited Mike Healy, an unedited Mother 13 (with the original song clips and maybe some extra dialogue?) and I also think -- but am not certain -- an unedited Gorch and Chippert Report on the same disc. I'll have to check on those last two to confirm.

OK, looks like it's just the standard Gorch that I have, but Chippert Report is indeed a lot longer. Includes discussion of his book called "A Chippert Off the Old Rock." ("The expression is 'block,' not 'rock.'" "Well I don't write about blocks. I write about rock.")

I've got a much longer "Tom's Daddy," too.

And a "Kid eBay" that seems to have an extra 15 minutes or so.
