Didn't Tom mention on twitter (or something?) that the comments on Mike's skype thing weren't from him (Tom)?

Who knows if @scharpling is actually Tom's Twitter account, though.

@scharpling is Tom's Twitter account. @tomscharpling is not.

I thought Fredericks was @scharpling?

If only Tor weren't banned. He could untangle this mess.

Any of you cats notice that there's a new-old episode that was recently added to the bottom of the iTunes podcast feed for the Best Show? It's the November 25, 2008 episode. Or maybe I'm just a lucky duck and encountered some beneficial glitch!

Thanks for the tip - my feed also shows the six-hour extravaganza from 6/7/09 as well! I'm grabbing them both while I can! :D

So...that new Tom tweet has me feeling really great about The Best Show coming back soon.  What more does this guy gotta do to prove there is a huge audience for his work?  What, a critically-acclaimed show wasn't enough?  13 years running an internationally-listened to radio show wasn't enough?  Out of a small, independent radio station?  Without the big money backing afforded to the Seacrests of the planet?

Somehow, someone was convinced to produce The Animal, Paul Blart, Mad TV, Brickleberry, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Midnite...the list of comedy dreck goes on for days.  And yet something with a PROVEN track record gets shut down?  And why?  Because it wasn't based off of some podcast?  So you're telling me if Tom rents a couple of rooms in someone's building like Scott Aukerman, IFC is good to go?  Look, I'm not knocking Comedy Bang Bang.  I like it.  I listen to it all the time.  But it's inferior comedy to the Best Show.  And moreover, it should (and is) more difficult to translate that level of improv-based comedy to a TV set than Tom's comedy.

I miss Tuesdays.  Life is hard.  The Best Show made it a little more tolerable.  It was more than just a respite from the ordinary.  The show made you think.  It exercised comedy muscles in ways that other programs can't, or don't.  I guess life isn't always fair.

Read a book or something. The Best Show isn't everything.

Never said The Best Show was the only thing I did, it's just something I enjoy a lot.  Is this not the Forum to discuss the Best Show?  Go read a book.  Ha.  Okay poster with over 340 posts.  It's not like this is my personal blog.  It's literally the only place I've ever discussed the Best Show.

And "upset Tom is not working" is not how I phrased anything.  I'm annoyed it can't be monetized.  Tom can do whatever he wants.

I'm suggesting that you shouldn't waste your time whinging about Tom having a hard time getting work. Junk is more popular than stuff that isn't junk. Is this news to you?
