Hello all!

Long time no talk.

I'll have some updates on The Best Show very soon. After a setback, things are pointing back in the right direction. Fingers crossed they keep going in that way. Details will come soon, hang tight!

But right now Jon Wurster and I are working on a Secret Project that will be VERY exciting. It requires a fair amount of archival digging and documenting.

I've put these calls out on Facebook, but I want to do it here, at the Mecca of Best Show enthusiasm.

We are looking for the following things:

1) OLD Best Show marathon premiums. The old shirts and knick knacks and whatnots. Pre-2006 preferably. We would photograph them and return them to you! I can't even remember what the premiums were at this point, so I guess #2 would be

2) A list of all the WFMU fundraising marathon premiums, year by year.

3) We are also looking for any PHOTOS or ODDITIES that you may have gotten ahold of over the years. Did you take any great photos of S&W at any point? Maybe at the Iron Monkey in 2007? If you did or if you know someone who did, please reach out and let me know what you've got! Did you get a physical letter from me or Jon? Anything that is one of a kind qualifies!

4) Any show recordings/files that are BETTER THAN MP3 QUALITY. Maybe you had access to files at one point and grabbed them from the WFMU computers. Maybe you got them some other way. But if you have them, please let me know!

under number 3, maybe, i have a photo of maria bamford signed "what-what man can do, another man can-can do", a copy of jen kirkman's book signed "enjoy your copy of weirdos exposed", and a drawing of a hobo named "high hose mcginley" (one of the names bryce said tom's neighbor keith kincaid had for tom [9/26/2006]) by adam koford (who tom earlier had "banned from learning anything else about the show"), won in a name your hobo giveaway in a maximum fun pledge drive. i have a photocopy of the 'script' of the gorch call from his in-studio appearance before the iron monkey listening party, given to me by the long-lost dorvid (anyone have contact info for that dude btw?).
