Newbridge on Adult Swim?
« on: November 02, 2014, 09:48:23 AM »
Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I notice in the TV listings that in the wee hours of the morning next week (4 am Tuesday and a few other times) there's a special entitled NEWBRIDGE TOURISM BOARD PRESENTS: WE'RE NEWBRIDGE, WE'RE COMIN' TO GET YA! Anyone have any details as ti what exactly this is?

Casting director is Allison Cohn who was thanked in the credits of Tom's Real Estate video. Whoa..

Adult Swim lists it as a "parody infomercial." It looks like it was advertised for extras on 8/26/14 and involves Rob Hatch-Miller in some way.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I wiki-ed it and found an actress who lists it on her resume with Tom Scharpling as the director.

I'm beyond excited, but why the hell are they showing it at 4 AM?

it's scheduled as an infomercial so maybe they're placing it in a timeslot those generally air in? going for a almost pranky but not really like Rock Rot n Rule?

ALSO...I just noticed something about this casting director. She's worked with Tom on more than just the Real Estate video.

They often show oddball one off shows at insane hours on Adult Swim which is why I like to skim the listings in the first place.

Matt Besser has his own fake infomercial airing at 4am on Adult Swim sometime soon as well - some perhaps an ongoing series with different talent each time?

Couldn't have picked a worse time, Dish is in disputes with Turner broadcasting no Adult Swim for me.

I've seen three other fake infomercials that AS has run in the past. The best one was for "For-Profit Online University." They've posted those on their website and YouTube, so hopefully they'll do the same with this.

Can't wait.

Yeah, it's definitely an ongoing series that started about a month ago. Brian Stack was in Fartcopter, written by Rob Huebel. There was another ones with Kurt Braunohler selling a salad mixer that doubles as a sex toy. I was able to set up a series record for it, so I think it's called "Infomercial".
