August and Milo are old news.  They had their moments, but have nothing left to offer.

That's Omar, tough but fair.

Am I the only one fervently hoping that Spike and Michael K. do not join the party for the new show?  I've never heard a Michael K. call that didn't make me wish I was dead, and Spike peaked with Weirdos Exposed.  He's been playing proverbial county fairs ever since.

I'm fine with them because Tom can completely handle them and spin their straw into gold. They're not nasty and disruptive like Z*ch from that dumb band and the guy who used to call up drunk.

I find Michael K charming in an odd way, not sure why. And I enjoy what Tom does with Spike's calls.

Laurie from Miami for sure.
Spike (I thought I would never write that, but...I miss the guy)
Dave from Knoxville
That woman who called in the last few shows of the WFMU show who Tom begged to call again (anyone know who I'm talking about?), I forget her name.  She had a good, weird energy
Julie from Cincinnati
Larry da Perv needs a better phone dere.
Jamesjamesjamesjames haahahahaaha yougotJamesedjamesjames. I hope he never redeems himself and becomes human.
The guy from Tasmania, I'm forgetting his name...

NEVER want to hear from Zilch antihistamine. NEVER. But if he does, Tom will handle him.

Who was the guy from Las Vegas that would call in and talk to Tom about rap music?

You’re not*, but I hope both call. I’m a longtime Spike enthusiast, but I can understand that some would experience some degree of Spike fatigue as the quality of his work did indeed vary quite wildly. In his defense, I imagine that anyone who called a radio show 25+ times a year for nearly 10 years would have some subpar stretches.

As for MK, I would welcome about five doses per year. I find his accent and phrasing to be amusing, and a review of his Best Show work will reveal that he knows his stuff – he frequently mentions things from the show that indicates he’s a careful listener (even if his listening skills while on the phone are often lacking).

*It is a bit hard to believe that people really want Spike to never call again.

It was nice to hear from Julie. I'm hoping for Dave from Monster Magnet now that there are no FCC restrictions. and of course, Fredericks. he really is my favorite caller of all time. he's the type of dude with whom i'd like to share a brewski.

but if we're talking about a 'wishlist' i'm gonna dream a little. i would looooove andrew dice clay to call up. also triumph the insult comic dog. he has a new show coming out on adult swim so maybe he'll call to promote it. *fingers crossed* anyone know how to get in touch with him and make that happen. does wally have any connections being a puppet and all?

Spike's triumphant return followed by a ban for big-timing Tom last year.
I love Michael K.

It might be silly but. Every time Tom tells his story about Las Vegas and the elevator. The first time I heard it I thought it was funny. But somehow it gets funnier every time I hear it.

Caller-ID will make problem callers a thing of the past on the new Best Show.

Michael K. is one of my favorite callers no matter what you say. And his call that got Tom talking about the Andy Warhol exhibit at the Pittsburgh Museum is an all-time classic.

What if someone, ah, liked the problem callers? Asking for a friend.
