Tom's anti-rank-amateur sentiment hits a fever pitch tonight when Tom protests WFMUs protest of the internet radio royalty laws by not doing his show tonight!

I would guess Tom is missing tonight for other reasons actually.

Finally, I have now spent One Day of My Life on the new Forum!

I have strep throat and am unable to go to the doctor until tomorrow. I was looking forward to a prescription from Dr. Tom, but to no avail.

Are they airing something in place, like a rerun, or are they taking part in the boycott?

I think he's doctoring the scripts for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit or something. He'll be back from LA soon enough.

I heard he's doing punch-up work on that Mork and Mindy remake with Andy Milonakis and Mandy Moore.
"Alright, well, for the sake of this conversation, let's say the book does not exist."

No, I heard it was a theatrical version of Three's Company starring Andy Milonakis, Bai Ling, and Courtney Peldon. Get your facts straight, son.

I hope I didn't get the show cancelled. I know NOTHING of the boycott because I only came back yesterday from Mexico. If I did, I apologize. I know what I wrote was like "wait whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat" but it all happened and I beat it all by pretty much saying "This is a W."

Choosing not to accept reality is like bending spoons when you lives in Harrisburg, PA. The city where the most notable thing that happens is when somebody mentions that they live there on the FOT board.

Wow this music is powerful stuff. I need more of this type of thing.

The most notable thing in Harrisburg were the Jimmy Buffett uniforms at a recent Senators game.

Also, this was a scheduled absence for Tom. You can't phase him!

I had hoped not. I know he is stronger than me because I've learned so much from him. But if somebody says "I used to be messed up" and thanks you for fixing them. You would be a fool not to go underground. Because what if the guy just thinks he's not messed up but is really way too invested? If you have a healthy sense of risk you don't play with that.

By the way, the most notable thing in Harrisburg does involve the Senators, but not in that way.

It starts with a grounds to have rock concerts on that costs zero to repair when it floods every year. It ends with people building houses close to that field and then saying "I didn't know I'd be able to hear the concert from my house. I just wanted to be able to see it from my front yard."
These poeple were rich and it made them soft and dumb. Within a year, there were no rock concerts so nobody heard anything good. Now we have nothing but another stupid competition, and no escape. The city pays $2 million a year to repair the field. The rich people do not kick in their share for getting what they wanted. The Senators........

"Wait. Whaaaaaaaa(bong hit)aaaaaaaaaat???????!!!!!!!!!!"

I agree.  In fact, I think a high post count is more likely to make Tom add one to the "someone-who-could-well-knife-me-in-the-parking-lot" roster.  I, of course, am exempt from this--but only because I live too far away and never travel.

Tom is smart to keep a healthy distance from the "overly-interested" crowd. They populate nickelback concerts in droves to see songs they've heard played differently by guys who are just playing, I've read. Must be the thing to do.

Though I live close to Jersey City and went there before to see Radiohead at the second LSP show in '01. I prefer to travel to CA, CO, ME, JP, PI, MX.
This guy from Philly later told me Jersey was a stink pit, but I had already been there. Too late for the warning, but I had a fantastic and mindblowing time there.

I enjoy references to things that amuse me. Thought you might care. I've only been listening for 11 months is that shorter than you? We are all already friends so stop being the one that's throwing up on me. I gotta keep it 90. I can't help it nere's a compulsion round here.
