I was ready for this to be no good. The first episode wasn't particularly funny - they were clearly finding their way - but Episodes 2 and 3 have been funnier than the last two seasons, in my opinion.
It's stripped down a lot - to the remaining main characters, plus a new one who has provided the most laughs on the show so far. And the Dean is given a more prominent role, but not in an Urkel sort of way, which is what I was afraid of.
I give it a solid thumbs up so far. Very pleasantly surprised.
