Saw an H3 this morning the plates read HUMDVA.

Do you automatically get a vanity plate when you purchase a Hummer? I don't think I've ever seen a Hummer with a regular, non-vanity plate.

Poll question:

Which do you think is more common?

a) Hummer without a vanity plate
b) Prius with a McCain/Palin bumper or window sticker
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

There is a Hummer rolling around our town with plates that read PD CASH.

Choice A.

I have never seen a Prius with a McCain/Palin bumper/window sticker. In fact, I haven't seen any McCain/Palin bumper or window stickers since November. However, I have seen more than a few cars with Bush/Cheney '04 bumper stickers.

There's a truck frequently parked on my block with the bumper sticker LUVYA DUBYA. And this is in Queens.

I've seen a Smart Car with a McCain bumper sticker rolling around State College, PA.

One I saw today... P9YCHO

Since when did a "9" look like an "S"?

With the font used on British license plates, it kind of does. It's square and a 9 is basically an S with the upper gap joined up. Try http://www.no1showplates.co.uk/index_new.php to see what I mean.

Not to steal Dave Barry's schtick, but "The Jowls of Gene Simmons" makes for a terrific band name, despite the probable resulting law suits.

To avoid litigation, one could go with Gene's Jowls.  Or The Jowls of Gene.  Better yet, they could start a KISS/Gene Loves Jezebel cover band called Gene Loves Jowlsebel.
