For the love of Pete, throw Tom's ripping of I'm Not There up on the bloggery-doo.
Please?
-
A very good idea.
Also, I apologize for the lack of updates lately - I blame real world stuff like work and family matters. But we will be back, don't you worry!
-
Definitely no need for apologies, your blog has been the only successful way I have found to sell people on the show. You can't do it with whole episodes or even the albums, which I guess are daunting to the uninitiated. The mp3s are perfect doses.

It's no I'm Not There rant, but I just made an update to the Vault. It's one of the best bits of 2007 - when Philly Boy Roy visited the studio.
It's a quick-and-dirty update, but we'll be back with more later in the week.

Whenever there is an update on the Vault, I get the same feeling I get when I find money I didn't know I had. Crimestick, you are truly a hero.

Seconded!
-
You guys are so nice - thank you.
There's a double-whammy update at the Vault today. The previously requested I'm Not There rant is up, as is this week's equally astute Juno review.
Final 2007 update. We'll be back with more in 2008.

Thanks for all these!

Dear Vault,
In honor of recent legal proceedings that will hopefully vindicate the West Memphis 3 (http://www.wm3.org/splash.php), I would like to request the following:
August 24, 2004: Jon Glaser And NBA Star Mehmet Okur Talk About Their West Memphis 3 Benefit.
-
Two things that I'd love to get on the Vault:
-The original call where "Get Ready To Meet My Little Friend" was offered as a top movie quote. This is one of the most magical moments from the last year.
-The August 29, 2006 call where PBR reviews Invincible. "We was doin' Da Butt down the aisles."
-
A coworker of mine recently delivered this variation on the Scarface quotation: "Prepare to meet my little friend."
What is it about that line that is so hard for people to replicate? Nobody has that trouble with "I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Bartles and Jaymes."
-
We'll have something for youse guys next week.

SECONDED! I told my kid about this bit. For some reason 9 year olds are really into Scarface? I want to play it for him, please.
thanks, and great job on the vault!!!

How about the I-Ron's Reggae Challenge call? I keep hearing it mentioned but the 5/9/06 show (when the call happened, according to http://www.friendsoftom.com/fotpedia/index.php?title=I-Ron's_Reggae_Challenge (http://www.friendsoftom.com/fotpedia/index.php?title=I-Ron's_Reggae_Challenge) ) isn't available in the archives.

It's funny, but it's very short.
Did I-ron ever call back in? I think he did but I can't remember when - in that second call, I recall he said something about "I-ron gettin' i-ree!" which isn't in the first call, I don't think.

I'm almost certain there has only been one I-ron call. In the 5/9/06 call he did tell Ted to "Keep it I-ree!", which may be what you are referring to above.

Updated (http://bestshowvault.blogspot.com)

Thanks for the updates, Crimestick! Also, as noted by Dorvid, and on a totally unrelated tip, I'm glad that the West Memphis 3 might finally get a fair shake after all these years.
-
Updated (http://bestshowvault.blogspot.com)
You're the best!
-
Thanks, Crimestick. I'm excited about having this Roy call, it might be my favorite ever.
"It was a peanut chew in the shape of an olive branch that he had made."
-
Meet Your Candidates: Bob (http://bestshowvault.blogspot.com)
-
Thanks for the update Crimestick, that Bob call is one of my favorites from the summer.
If possible, I'd like to request Jimmy Crespo calling in to talk to Mac from Nov. 29, 2005.
-
How many pullups can you do?
-
JC's got a point - Mac really does have a beautiful speaking voice.

Yes! A classic call. Oh, Mac. You had so much potential ...
-
You don't wanna see that guy, he's totally bald. Not like JC.

thanks Crimestick!

I would never quibble with the Best Show Vault, but there is a promise in one of the entries from last month to upload the recent Gorch visit to the studio.
Crimestick, I would love to hear that bit.
-
Next week. Promise!

Thanks, 'stick (and by that I mean Crimestick, not the Burt Reynolds character).

Gear up for the Marathon with The Best Show Vault!

-
Tom's impression of PBR in 2003 was Genius, with a capital Gee.
"Oiverson! Philly Philly Philly! Nem Hooters!"
-
Huh, what's that? The Vault is open again? Great!
http://bestshowvault.blogspot.com
(The batch uploads of Best Show stuff in the DL section sort of made me question the need for the Vault, but then I remembered that we get a fair amount of non-FOT visitors too.)
-
New new stuff stuff in in the the Vault Vault ! !

We're back from the dead. (http://bestshowvault.blogspot.com)
Until we get word from Our Supreme Leader about a bite-sized TBSOWFMU podcast, we will try and stay alive.
-
You're doing the Lord's work!
-
We had some issues with our Rapidshare account, but that's taken care of now. If you have tried to download these latest clips (and failed), try again.
-
Bravo! Glad to have you back.
-
What, you don't remember Garbage Face?
Thanks, Best Show Vault!

"What's Shakin'?" (http://bestshowvault.blogspot.com)
Link fixed. Thanks, Martin!
-
Oops!
-
I'm getting some hits to the Vault from the Maron vs Seder site, http://www.maronvseder.tv. However, when I visit it I can't find any references to the Vault or TBSOWFMU. Anyone know how to find the link?
-
Someone in the chat-thing linked to it actually, which led me to click on it and I'm sure some other people. Weird.
-
Thanks for the Depressed Office Worker calls!
Who is that on the Alan Lieberman call from the last update?
-
Sam Seder.
