My favorite line:
"Christine said: 'The idea just came to me. I knew what we would go as because Keith looks just like Shrek.'"
-
and the bit which did it for me:
"She tried to get her 18-year-old son to dress up as Donkey, another character from the offbeat cartoon fairytale, but said 'he wasn't having any of it'. "

I bet the reception dinner was curried donkey.

Hilarious. This made my day.
-
No doubt the groom's Scottish accent is better than Mike Myers.'

Played by a Smash Mouth cover band.

And they say theater is dead.

I wish I could find the videos for Tim and Eric's fake Shrek the Third promotions. Probably the funniest stuff they've ever done.

You know, Shrek's been a part of our lives for six years now.
(I loved those videos, too! You can find them by going here (http://timanderic.com/movies.html) and scrolling down to "Shrek promos.")

Thanks!

Eh. To me this is no worse than those people that dress up as Star Wars characters at fan conventions. :-\

They're basically one and the same.
-
If you are going to do that kind of weirdo stuff at your wedding you should make your guests dress up too.
Great Grandma as Jar Jar....
-
By now, the Star Wars nerds *know* that it's wrong - they sense the disturbance they've caused in The Force - but carry on with their Jabba's dungeon-themed weddings anyway. The Shrek nerds are still inching along towards trying to figure it out.

I'm going to be the first to have a Drillbit Taylor wedding.
