Yeah the Paul Mooney one was kind of a drag.  He kept trying to make the whole thing serious and brought the vibe down.

Dana Gould was awesome, though.  He's one of those guys who can make you laugh just by existing.  Just a gifted, funny dude.

I am a massive, massive XXXXL fan of Dana Gould. I think he's just a genius.

Conversely, with Paul Mooney, I can't tell if he's telling jokes or he's just mad at every white person there ever was.

I don't think he's hateful at all, but damn if it isn't alienating when listening to his stuff.

EDIT: I changed my mind. I saw the episode and he's a racist tool.

What's strange, though, is that he was one of the first (and only) people to defend Michael Richards in the wake of his onstage meltdown.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

OMG this just sunk in ... has anyone seen Serial w/Martin Mull and Tommy Smothers and about a billion other awesome people? It was unavailable for years but I think has made it to DVD ... I had a shitty old cassette from Cinemax that an ex bf taped over. Oh, jesus I loved that movie.

I have not, but I have added it to my Netflix queue.  I see too that Christopher Lee is in it.  Consider my curiosity piqued.  Or peeked or whatever the proper word is.
