I've always assumed that it clipped from John Sterling's "Ball game over.  Yankees win! Theeeeeeee Yankees win!".

That's what I thought too.

I used to think that giggle in the beginning was Tom until I rented cannonball run and realized that whole beginning part was from that movie.
