The first concert I saw was the inaugural installment of this town's now annual "having a really old kind of washed up band play" series. It was the weird reunited version of the Beach Boys. Brian Wilson was not the one original member involved. I told my parents I didn't want to come, but apparently I ended up there anyway.

Enough talk! Let's relive the experience!

Wow, I never knew what syphilis sounded like until now.

you gotta admit Dave, what really rounded out this whole experience for you was not the blaring solos or that blanket of funny-smelling smoke that lay over the crowd's head: it was the good 38% of chicks present that were sportin' the "bandana-as-bikini-top" look.

9/22/87- U2 on the Joshua Tree tour with my older brother.

I'm very fortunate that my brother refused to take me to see Sting on his "Dream of the Blue Turtles" tour which was the first show I wanted to go to.  We were both Police fans, but he was wiser and knew even than that solo Sting was lame.  I learned that a couple years later.
