Bill Nye & Creation Guy
« on: February 07, 2014, 02:52:33 PM »
Of course, since I have only watched the Network News (a.k.a. Religious Authority approved Skippy Goebbels) report, I don't have that much info.  I will not watch the entire debate until I'm gettin' as much money and/or publicity as Nye & Ham got.

However, for Bill Nye to represent an Atheist POV...well.....I ain't viewed anything like that since Neville Chamberlin got back from Berlin.

You don't get on PBS without being Religious Authority approved, TOO!

FMU knows all about (Ken fur sure), though all of WFMU doesn't realize/know,  this kind-a crapola.

i don't see much point in watching it, though I did see most of it. That Ham guy is a complete nutter and comes off as such to any reasonable person. He has no chance of swaying you to his side, so what are we debating?
Your vigor for life appalls me.

Such debates are pointless unless the pro-science crowd (I am aware that this seems to have been all Bill Nye's idea -- but he shouldn't have had the idea in the first place) bring in the big guns (i.e., someone like Christopher Hitchens) and stage an old-fashioned atheist-on-creationist beatdown. They're not going to win over creationists no matter who represents them, so they might as well make it entertaining.
Ever do nothing and gain nothing from it?
Ever feel stupid and then know that you really are?
Ever think you're smart and then find out you aren't?
Ever play the fool and then find out that you're worse?

Now, aka Judge, let's replace, in your statement, "Ham" with...ohhhhhhhhhhh, I don't know.....maybe some name from...let's say - 1930.

Anyone answering Charlie McCarthy wins.

Is at least part of this an act or are you truly 100% insane?

Why, Kormodd, you are a most inadequate investigaTOR for moi hast oft times stated that I AM not simply crazy BUT AM
the MOST insane a person could possibly be
for bein' deliberately sane on a planet that mostly worships madness IS
THE CRAZIEST thing a person could do.
