Great playbill!  But... the Oprah-hating caller wasn't Julie Klausner.

I thought it was her but it's a foolish man who challenges Jouster on this type of thing.
If it wasn't her, the recap got it wrong, too.
I love it either way, Josh.

Quote from: Recap
Bonus Guest:
6. Oprah Winfrey

Julie [Klausner] believes the rags-to-riches media queen gets too much pleasure out of humiliating people with her abundant cash. For example, she hides the keys to a new car underneath her studio's seats and then films audience members going into spasms. Tom has to get rid of Klausner for a lapse into Sagetspeak. She got too worked up.

I meant that she was mistakenly identified in the recap as JK, when it was a different Julie, not that you got it wrong, Josh.  Don't blame yourself, it's a nice piece of work and I like it.

PS if you want some JK on TBSOWFMU action, check out the show with Skag Winesack in studio with his ex-wife.

Bizarre.  Tom knows another Julie who also attended the listening party?  I was certain it was JK after she mentioned that.  Recap mishap inspiring Art Contest entries!  Ha!

I can confirm that JK did unleash the toilet talk. I cannot confirm the Oprah-hating.

I just discovered this show is no longer archived, but it was the April 25th, 2006 show.

And B_Buster has credibility, more than me I'm sure, but I still swear that it wasn't her (I asked her, even).  Sorry to stir this up, Josh.  I like your work!

But It would make sense if it was her, because I could feel a palpable sense of disappointment emanating from my computer speakers when Tom had to cut her off.  It was like when you catch your favorite (but tragically alcoholic) uncle trying to glean a buzz from vanilla extract (see: Tom Hanks cameo in Family Ties), except in this case your friend cannot control her toilet mouth and unwittingly threatens the fate of your radio station with her sad cussing habit.*  Incidentally, I saw JK screen a video at UCBLA this week (the fake UCB) and it was funny.

*Gee, I hope I'm remembering the right incident.

Yes -- this is the Tornado Todd show.  JK was great as Skag's fifth ex-wife.  Here's a snippet from the recap:

There is some discussion about whether Scag is the biological father of their daughter, Jessalyn, but Scag would rather not get into it on the radio. He prefers to detail what Cindy calls a "humiliating" matter of infidelity that ended the marriage. While working as a bodyguard for Rupert Holmes in 1979, Holmes's wife had an affair with Scag shortly before the release of Partners In Crime. Scag claims that he's the subject of the song "Him", and brought a Greatest Hits compilation to play it for Tom. He hopes that there is no bad blood with Holmes since he's always had a massive amount of respect for him as an artist and did not engage in adultery to spite him.

Tom's excited to hear it after getting the juicy backstory, while Cindy can't understand why she could not bring her toothbrush on the trip. Scag explains that he was concerned that his car wouldn't be able to hold both the toothbrush and the Holmes disc. Cindy cannot remember how long she has been sans tootbrush because her sense of time has been replaced by throbbing in veins she did not know she had. The Peugot's radio is not functional, so the driving time has creeped by with alternating angry and awkward silences between Scag and Cindy.

This is a mystery.  If JK dropped the toilet talk, then it seems like it has to be her.  The toilet talk was emitted during the Oprah rant.  Nobody else was dumped for toilet talk that night!  Hating Matthew Barney also seemed very Klausnery to me.  Maybe it was Julie Delpy disguising her French accent.
