One of my favs from an early show is the long Abbott and Costello routine did with the callers on The Producers.

I believe the first caller is a friend of Tom's from the early days - his voice is also in Rock, Rot and Rule. I *think* he might be the friend of the show who passed away in the 2000s.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

  • 11/7/06, from Omar's recap: "Speaking of strange trips, Mary B from Albuquerque calls (starts at 2:00) to find out what she's been listening to for the past 20 minutes. While cruising the Internet for music, she randomly tuned to The Best Show and couldn't figure it out what it was all about."
  • I don't have the date, but the MC Steinberg call when he's recounting his pay-oh-tay experience.
"Alright, well, for the sake of this conversation, let's say the book does not exist."

Martin Short episode, 4/28/2009.

"I'm sure he had a point. It couldn't have been just about the title." -- Marty Short, giving Spike a pass for seemingly using him as his personal IMDb

Tons of good stuff within the Martin Short appearance.

I've been listening to the show for ten straight years but I have to say the alternate universe blimp/Velvet Underground call from just two weeks ago might have been one of my favorites.

http://thebestshow.net/episode/philly-boy-roy-alternate-universes-islands-world-premiere-parents-call-in/ at the 2:59:14 mark.

The excessive use of the word "blimp" to the point of absurdity and the spot-on John Cale impression make for an untouchable call.

And I forgot that on the same call he discusses the Goodfellas froyo franchise with Mike.

Here's a few I noted down. Also the Best Show Awards episodes would probably have good clips

4/8/2008 - Beatles fest - around 40 minutes

6/30 or 6/29 2009 -  mike from brooklyn calls in and at 2:50 and tells a great story about speeding and another caller tops the story

6/9/2009 - Spike calls in with Weirdoes Exposed at 1:41

1/20/2009 - Spike calls in with proto Weirdoes Exposed. 41:20

12/2/2008 - Katherine calls in about Joe Paterno - 1:42:09 seconds

Mike from Brooklyn also had a great story about a guy stealing the pinup from a Jet magazine with lousy and hilarious consequences.
