It's like, I see videos by all these bands who were parts of, say, movements. They were part of a grunge movement, or a scene that came from a certain city, and we were never really part of any of those. I mean, I guess it's kind of lonesome when you're not, because the scene is like a party that you're not invited to. But at the same time, once you identify yourself with a scene or a movement or something, that's just announcing yourself as "soon to be obsolete."



It kinda gets derailed when the interviewer outs herself as not being a zabra and seeking NY/NJ pizza advice from a rock and roll bassist instead of some back issues of Pizza Aficionado. I mean, she's from Michigan but doesn't know about the shredded newspaper topping at Ligorno's in Ann Arbor?!
"Alright, well, for the sake of this conversation, let's say the book does not exist."
