Yeah, I think this idea would pretty much suck. You could probably just about count the number of posts I've made here and on the old board combined on two hands, but that neither makes me a newbie or a menace. I've put in hundreds (maybe thousands...sheesh) of hours of Best Show listening and I like seeing the FOTs interact, even if I'm usually on the sidelines.
Sorry to be serious for a moment here, but, good lord, people, can't you perceive a joke when it's beating you about the head?
