I've been avoiding this because I'm kinda embarrassed but I'm going to indulge in a little shameless self promotion.
My friend and I have a small record label, Hi-Science Records. we only have a couple of bands right now. hopefully more releases and other fun shit soon. hoping to set up some shows in the LA area soon and showcase some of our favorite local bands. it's all pretty small scale right now since we're doing this in our spare time and funding it ourselves. here's our main site

I've done two so far and I just started a weekly music write up called Rock 'n' Roll Pussy, the first one is up now. I've found myself sneaking in some esoteric Best Show references just for my own stupid amusement, maybe you guys can spot them, i dunno. They're just going to be weekly for the time being but I'm hoping to get some kind of new stuff up there everyday if i can. There's not a whole lot of talking since it's prerecorded (poorly) and I suck on the mic, I'm just starting out with this kinda thing and I'm more a curator than a dj on this thing. but I play a lot of music i really love and i hope you guys will like it too. it's a pretty eclectic mix because my tastes are all over the place but it tends to lean more towards punk/rock n roll/psych rock but i like to spice it up with hip hop, funk, soul and the like.
