De-Newbridging Newbridge?  I'll pass.  However, if you could do something about the increasingly eccentric -- and largely inedible -- pancakes at the Pancake Promenade, I may reconsider.  I was there for brunch last Sunday, and the pancakes were filled with dice and peas.

I'm actually considering running for borough president of Staten Island. Because the election is held in an "off" election year (no mayoral, gubernatorial, senatioral or presidential elections) voter turn out is very low and our current BP won with only 7,000 votes despite Staten Island's half a million person population. I'm pretty sure I can top that.

Uhhhhhhh...  Definitely will have to see "the offer" on that one.  When I have a little more time, I'll post here about the LAST time I played in Staten Island (it was about 17 years ago).

It's kind of frightening how plausible this plan sounds. I say go for it.
