Apparently, the SD and BD editions of The Third Man are going out of print. The Blu-Ray is already sold out on Amazon. The DVD version, however, is still widely available.

Also looks like there will be another 50% off sale at B&N the week of November 8.

Seriously considering buying the blu-ray so I can possibly sell it for a lot more later.  This is one of my favorite films so naturally I want to exploit it as much as possible (see my upcoming Direct TV ad w/ Orson Welles).

I'll have to grab that blu-ray during the sale even though I already have the standard DVD and don't have HD playing capabilities.

I wouldn't count on it being around that long.   I already own the dvd.

Apparently my local B&N has several copies of the blu-ray, for cheaper than the standard.

Good thing I blew all my money on the summer sale.

I have enough to spare for 2 DVD's. That's it.

EDIT: On second thought, I'm probably going to sit this sale out.

Always surprised by current cinema showing up as Criterion, but Hunger is certainly worthy.

Make Way for Tomorrow: this will make so many of my cinefile friends cream their pants.

Isn't that part of their deal with IFC?
