Touchez pas au grisbi is an amazing film - pitch perfect French noir. Wonderful stuff.

Thin Red Line

Thanks for the heads up. Malick is my favorite. Can't wait for The Tree of Delays Life.

Speculation seems to be that October will be all-horror, since Hausu, Antichrist and a Videodrome blu-ray are known to be coming, plus they've been working on Cronos for a while.

I would kill for a Spike commentary on one of those.

Cronos, the early del Toro? Pretty terrible IMO.

All of his films are terrible!

Thanks for simplifying things for me, Omar.

Swift and to the point. I agree.

All the Mitchum talk earlier in this thread was prescient: Today's newsletter alludes to a Night of the Hunter blu-ray coming soon.  :o

Makes a lot of sense. Been waiting to see who would release the new print + restored stuff.

Excited for The Thin Red Line but not excited because I have to buy a new bluray player because my year old one won't play new blurays and the updates don't work. Any recommendations on a good one between about $75-$150 that will last a while and play everything?

Have they restored all the cut scenes featuring Hulk Hogan?

Terry and Terry have worked together plenty - Terry just keeps having to cut Terry's scenes out of the movies for myriad reasons. We'll see what happens with the Tree of Life scenes Terry shot with Terry and Brad Pitt.
