Drive, He Said is really interesting. It's great that it's finally getting a DVD release.

Nov. releases

The Night of the Hunter
Modern Times
Antichrist
BBS box with Head (w/Dolenz commentary), Easy Rider (w/Hopper commentary), Five Easy Pieces, The Last Picture Show, Drive He Said, The King of Marvin Gardens, and A Safe Place

Can't wait for A Safe Place and Drive He Said. Do they usually have the box sets on Netflix though?

The way Netflix is going it's hard to say when they'll start carrying it.  If there's another Barnes & Noble Criterion sale in November like last year, there's a chance the blu-ray version might be available for around a pretty incredible $50 (the dvd version comes out in December, I'm guessing to ease their production costs).

Per posts on the Criterion forum, T. Zwigoff has sorta-confirmed that Criterion will release Ghost World.  He plans to begin work on supplementary material in the next 6-12 months.

Also heard a rumour that they will add The Swarm to The Collection in 2012.

That would be awesome. Now if only Netflix would hurry up and add Crumb/Louie Bluie.

I will definitely be buying that Bluray box set once B+N has a sale.

That really sucks.  Criterion is easily the best thing about Netflix instant.  I really hope they don't go with Hulu exclusively; I'm only interested in streaming films on my tv if I can help it.

I don't think it's anything to get worried about yet. Almost everything has an expiration date on Netflix Instant and Criterion continues to add more. As for right now Netflix is basically a huge premium channel where the movies they have do go away after awhile, but if you wait a couple months they'll probably be back.

A whole lot of Criterion titles will be pulled from Instant Netflix next month

Does this have anything to do with MUBI getting their own streaming service on PS3, or is this normal?

Holy shit.  I want all of those.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.
