Don't get me wrong--eggs aren't my absolute favorite. But sometimes a nice egg is exactly what I need. Poached, scrambled, boiled (soft and hard), fried, or shirred, jazzed up with spicy tomato sauce or folded around a succulent filling, all these and more have a place in my gustatory life. Add their uses in sauces, cakes, cookies, puddings (including custard), ice cream, and so on and on and on, and it's plain they're indispensable.
In other words, yay, eggs!
