Rookie of the Year

I'm growing very fond of Eddie.  He has no schtick.  He never seems to be trying to be funny even though he sincerely wishes to entertain Tom.  His deadpan delivery seems authentic. And though he pretty much never fails to get a chuckle out of Tom, he never seems to expect to get a laugh and seems sincerely surprised when he does.  If I had a say in this, he'd get my vote.

As would Glenn Danzig, if I were registered to vote in Newbridge--which really comes as a surprise.

Another betrayal! That's it: from now on I'll be doing all the call sceening bare chested. If that's what it's going take to get votes, I'll do it!

The other guy hasn't really had a chance to show his stuff yet. Eddie's off to a pretty great start, though. Other than one slightly shaky call, he's been pretty untouchable.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

He rang into the PFT show to pitch an Olive Garden TV show, which Tom had earlier GOMP'd somebody for. Eddie got away with it though.

Teacher's pet, but I love him.

Oh, Mike, I'm so sorry!  That was very thoughtless of me.  I mean, my vote would be my own, but there's no need to rub anyone's face in anything.  All I can say in my defense is that I was so astonished by the clarity and sanity of Mr. Danzig's positions that I forgot my manners.  Please forgive me.  I'll understand if you can't.

Frankly, I thought Danzig's call sounded a bit staged, like he had handlers in the background feeding him those lines. Also, I wouldn't rule out a voice modulator. His voice sounded squeakier and nerdier off air.

I fully expect a shocking reversal sometime soon, at which point I will come crawling back to you, no doubt weeping with contrition.  Got to say, I like the courageous choice of spaghetti and meatballs over poncakes.  I like a candidate who's willing to swim against the tide.
