One Laptop Per Child - We reached our goal!

Heya FOTs!

There's been alot of press recently about the One Laptop Per Child program, and I was thinking that maybe some of us FOTs could pool our $ to donate one. I figure that we have enough kind folks here that if we all kick in $5 or $10, we can raise the $200 in no time.

I just added friendsoftomlaptop@gmail.com to PayPal, and am gonna start off with donating a twenty, so there's only $180 more to go!

Please Note: If you are thinking about donating, PLEASE check this thread before doing so, because I will be constantly updating it with our progress, so that we don't exceed our goal. Well, I guess I could just send any extra to another charity or something.

Yes, there is right now a 'Buy one/ donate one' campaign where you pay $400 and you get one laptop and one gets donated. There is also a "just donate a laptop" option, which is what we are doing.
