Dolenz and Diablo Unite!
« on: December 19, 2007, 10:32:52 PM »

Looks as if she's barged into the hate pit uninvited.  For her it's probably another mark of honor, though... I'm worried she's just there to start an uprising, a sort of "pride of the hated" thing...the power of the pinky grows stronger...

Oh to live in resolution-independent world.  What's on that button?

I repeat: The Rock is in The Criterion Collection. In case you haven't seen it, it's bad. But maybe it's so bad that it's good. I would kill to see Face-Off with that incredible packaging.

As are Armageddon and Chasing Amy.

It's important to remember that no one's perfect, even the eggheads over at Criterion. Maybe the Joey Criterion set isn't as unlikely as we think.

It's my understanding Michael Bay wanted the "prestige" of being associated with Criterion and so lobbied hard for Disney to license those films.  I think they contextualize it by saying he does have his own identifiable style... of sorts.  Anyway, I'm sure sales of those discs have helped pay their way on a lot of big projects.

About that pinky shake:  that's how surfers, hipsters and kids greet each other in Hawaii.  They lock pinkies and pull them apart.  They will also sometimes wag their pinkie and thumb back and forth and say, "Eh, howzit?"
Or at least, they did 30 years ago, when I lived there.
