I'm going to buy a bunch of cheesy MMA related t-shirts and rip the sleeves off to wear to the classes. Stuff like "pass out, don't tap out."

A female friend of mine was really into capoeira (took her game to Brazil even) until she realized it was populated by gangs of aggressively chauvinistic sleaze bags.

I see.  And, with this, I see even more.  Why I didn't check there first, I do not know.

Not really, though you could just barely make a case for it if you were feeling perverse or stubborn.  Such a peculiar choice, however, would need some very strong stylistic justification not to seem merely affected or downright mistaken.  A comma would have been the standard choice.  You could also have used a colon (odd but correct).

I'm really enjoying the shit out of this class and now my buddy is thinking about quitting because it's cutting into his gym time.  Isn't that the way it always works out.

oh well, I'm sticking with it and I love it.
