This thread needed to be revived! Yay

My embarrassing confession is that my playlist on playlist.com is almost entirely made up of Lady GaGa and Kanye West. And when I almost entirely I mean entirely. I acknowledge that there is nothing wrong about either one, but my listening/obsession has grown to scary heights lately.

I was altogether too disappointed when the Canadian women's curling team lost to Sweden.

I like reading revived threads.  (Covers face)

I was pleased for Sweden, Martin.  I just let myself get caught up in the hoopla over the Canadian team.  I downright rooted for the boys, by the way, but Kevin Martin was too much for them.  I'll be rooting for them in the bronze match.

Thanks, Sarah. People here were really excited about the win - well, me too. I definitely thought CAN would win it with that last stone.

I notice that people in the media are falling over themselves drooling over the Canadian skipper's attractiveness (someone even coined the clunky term "curlgar"). Call me a patriot but I prefer these gals.

I really liked those gals, too.

Sorry there was no bronze for the Swedish men.  But they played a damn good game against Switzerland and are the future, to boot, or so I've heard.  Next time.

I genuinely dig Lady Gaga.  Is that embarassing?  Keep in mind I'm in my 30's.

Oh, please-why be embarrassed by anything you like? Lady Gaga is awesome, and I'm in my late late late late late 30s.

You make good points.  Lady Gaga's place in my iPod is secured.  Ga ga Oolalah!

Also I didn't watch any Olympics.

On her liner notes of the previous album, she thanks Andy Warhol, David Bowie, Prince, Madonna, Chanel, New York, and Fashion. That loony broad is all right by me.

I didn't watch any Olympics either, but not really on purpose... when I was in various bars over the last few weeks, though, I kept stumbling on curling. I think the curling lobby has really earned their stripes this Olympics. I have heard about virtually nothing else.

I'm hooked on MTV's 16 and Pregnant/Teen Mom...I just, can't stop watching and I'm totally not in the TV demographic they should be reaching with that show.

I heard Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" for the first time when I was in Asia this past summer and thought it was a joke. I came back to the US and Lady Gaga was everywhere. I feel it's all still so new to me!

I share a birthday with Kayne West, but I am 2 years younger than him. Also, Joan Rivers, ha! My furs!!

I share a birthday with Roman Polanski and Denis Leary, so I don't know what to tell you there.

Also Martin Mull, who gets a lifetime pass for both Fernwood Tonight and the film Serial, but who I've also heard is a massive tool. Did Patton Oswalt tell a story about him? I can't remember where i heard that recently ...
