Yeah, I agree, that Archive.org stuff is ridiculous. The thing about torrent sites is it all became this elitist thing and the legal (or at least gray area) stuff that was found in corners of the internet ended up at those sites where you have to do illegal things to have access to the hard to find stuff. I'm not into that. Maybe I'm out of touch with how these sites work now...
There are a lot of bands not of interest to me at archive.org but there are at least a dozen that I enjoy quite a bit. Also, to my mind, perhaps the best thing about archive.org is that the site will host ANY band's shows as long as the band gives permission first. SO, if you want to improve the content of the site, get your fave band's approval and get involved.

I don't understand how these torrent sites work but I'm not sure what illegal things you need to do - I'm not sure to what you are referring - I don't think I've done anything illegal at dimeadozen? I do agree with Bruce though that dimeadozen does offer some wonderful treats but that they are the exception to the many many uninteresting (to me) posts.
