That was an incredible show. I, for one, think Paycheck, as the dean of Supercallers, is a great choice for caller of the year.
I do want to come to the defense of Spike, a little. Despite the fact that I maligned him on the show as an "unsavory" character, I don't see how you can call him the worst caller as long as James roams free. Spike, in the face of withering (and perhaps, deserved) rough treatment at the hands of Tom, gathers up the intestinal fortitude to call up week after week. Most callers in his situation would have tucked tail between legs (yes, I feel like he probably has one) and fade away, never to be heard from again. But Spike's recurring calls serve a very important purpose on the show; while some argue that he is the worst call, from my perspective he is one of Tom's very best foils, and that creates enjoyment for the masses. That could NEVER be said for James, who is, frankly, a punk.
Hell, I would break bread with Spike, as long as it wasn't at his home, and I wasn't shackled. I hope his recent real-life outing doesn't drive him away; the pest you know is usually better than the pest you don't, and there's no way to know what kind of vermin would sweep in to fill the void his continuing absence would create.
